Q: When did you start shooting the movie?
A: September 15th 2002
Q: When did you finish the shoot?
A: December 20 2002
Q: How was the financing obtained for the project?
A: We had a fundraiser in October 2002. That was the only financing. Other than that we paid for everything out of our pockets.
Q: Did you try to solicit funds from different organizations?
A: Yes, but the answer was always NO...a big no. But because we were determined, we did not mind.
Q: How were the actors and crew paid?
A: Most of the actors and crew were volunteers. They made the movie because they believed in the cause. Swahili community have waited for a long time, they were not going to let one more year pass.
Q: Are you lined up for different festivals?
A: We are applying to different festivals all over the world.
Q: When will the movie be released?
A: We are planning to open somewhere at the end May 2003.
Q: Will the movie be available for sale, if so when?
A: Bongoland will be available in DVD and VHS after the release dates. The availability will vary depending on the number of festivals where the movie will be shown

Q: When will the movie be shown in Africa?
A: We are still determining the dates on where and how. This will depend on many factors including the availability of lucrative arrangement, the demand for the movie and the festival rules. Please stay tuned.
Q: Are any governments of East Africa helping out?
A: Yes. The embassy of Tanzania has expressed interest to support the project. The ambassador of Tanzania to the US has actually seen a clip from the movie
